I am not a professional photographer. All the photos here were taken with my iPhone with little or no color correction. I love the outdoors and capturing images that tell a story. I feel very blessed to be able to live an active lifestyle with my family, enjoy time in so many beautiful locations and capture some of the beauty that I see with my phone.
Our rescue husky, Tundra. he is our hiking buddy and we're so thankful we found each other. I was out hiking with him on the Santa Margarita River Trail and just fell in love with this spot with the water running, all the fall colors shimmering in the light. I asked Tundra to sit and smile for me. After a little patience, and maybe a bribe or two, I got some great shots!
This photo was taking on one of my morning strolls. I just love how organic it looks. No color adjustments, just nature's beauty showing off!
The image below was taken as we drove up to Mount Baldy for a hike. The colors of the sky couldn't really be captured by my phone, but it was so beautiful the way the clouds blanketed the valley below. We just had to stop and capture what we could!
Our hike up Mount Whitney provided many photos of our adventures. This is our friend Bob headed off our journey.
This is my husband Chip. I caught him standing at this great viewpoint just taking in the valley below and the beauty all around us. I loved the way it showed perspective of how little we were in the shadows of Mount Whitney. I also loved the look of his pack and how it will always remind me of our challenge carrying overnight packs up that great mountain!
One of the many staircases up Mount Whitney. I thank who ever took the time to make this. It made it easier climbing up the mountain!
This was the lake at the Trail Camp right below the 99 switchbacks on Mount Whitney. The water was crystal clear. I just loved how the colors reflected the mountains around it.
I enjoy taking photos where you can focus in on one object while blurring out the background. Always creates a visual element to the photo.
This was a beautiful meadow where we spent the night before Whitney acclimating to the high elevation. it was so beautiful!
This was walking out to the meadow above. I loved how the tree looked like a ballerina's legs! So amazing how many forms nature takes.
I liked the color of this flower against the color of the rock and clicked on the flower so it would focus on it and blur out the rocks.
Oh the beauty of Lone Pine Lake. This is the first lake you come across while climbing Mount Whitney. It is so beautiful and crystal clear with the prettiest colors. When the wind is still, you can see the reflection of all the mountains in it.
The Victoria Beach Pirate Tower in Laguna Beach. Such a beautiful location and came across a couple taking their wedding photos. I loved how the waves crashed up behind them!
This photo was taking hiking up San Jacinto. I love this section when the sun has risen and then shines right through the trees in this area. It's magical!
This beautiful sunset on the water was taken on our Fall trip to Boston. We took a day to visit Rhode Island and were lucky enough to be here right when the sun was setting.
Who doesn't love a good flower image! The colors and design always have me in awe!
We were finishing our 6 packs of peaks and this photo was taken on Mount Pinos. It was an absolutely beautiful day. It snowed, the sun came out and everything was soooo white and glistening in the sun. Absolutely beautiful!
California's state flower of course, the Poppy!
I love when nature has little quirks about it. The spring like vines were so fun to look at, the water drops on the leaves, just had to take this photo!
Beautiful sunrise from the Taquitz trail.
